Bridey here is leaving an apartment christened the Albino Peacock in a moment of great frustration: after two months of fruitless apartment hunting, I spat out, "This apartment is harder to find than an albino peacock!" The following week, a friend of a friend tipped me off to a cute, roomy studio with a view of a tasteful giant white neon cross and the song of airplanes in the background. Here I've been for the last two years...here I took on a Silent Partner who has been a great help to my entrepreneurial endeavors in addition to being a nifty future hubby...and here was the birthplace of White Peacock Designs.
By the way, check out the small silver object on the shelf between Eve and M-O. That's Eve's tiara, a painted bead with rhinestones glued on, for when Eve does her duty atop the wedding cake in a few months. It's the tiniest tiara I've ever made!
Hubby and I are moving into a home with a room set aside for his puppets and art and for my beadies, complete with walk-in closet storage. And maybe, if I get lucky, space in the back to set up a soldering area.
