Rick Astley meets his #1 Filipino fan, Roderick Paulate. This is justification for the existence of YouTube right here.
So, here in Bride Land, things are rolling. The only jewelry-making taking place around here is for a certain date a few months out. Here's one piece so far:
Vintage glass, crystal and lucite beads and crystals of various eras. In case you can't tell, my bridal jewelry is not exactly going to be demure.
The tiaras have been neglected, and in a way this is good. I've been doing mucho thinking about the tiaras, and I've decided that the day of the tiara may be over. People now are more concerned about economy, about saving money, about the envionment and the future. This climate (speaking of climate change) doesn't call for tiaras. It calls for hard hats and kerchiefs like Rosie the Riveter used to wear. Unless I go strictly bridal, which goes contra the White Peacock message of "be as fabulous as you are" - it's not just brides who are fabulous, thank you VERY much.
I'm still open to opportunities for White Peacock, though, and I do plan to keep my eyes open. I want my jewelry go to good homes! And there's too much vintage lucite out there I want to work with.
