I'm engaged, y'all, and weddings do in fact eat your head. The last month has found your humble tiara maker over her head in wedding plans, which include a wedding site I'm building and will post a link to later. (No, not months later - sheesh!)
The concept of marrying my super-mecha-awesome Silent Partner makes me blissed-out with joy, and yet, one thing I've learned is that it's pretty integral to my happy and to my identity that I keep White Peacock going. I got affirmed in this knowledge when my Etsy account was found this week by a journalist from Israel who wants to feature my Renaissance Necklace in an article she is doing for the Israeli design magaine Nisha (I'd link to it but the site is in Hebrew - shout-out to my roots!). The article will appear just in time for my next birthday, and I am promised a PDF. How do you like that. My first press, and it's from the other side of the globe!
I've made some resolutions and I am going to to my dangdest to keep them, especially since heaven knows what will happen after the article appears:
1) Check in on the Creative Wire Jewelry forums once a day.
2) Check in on the Etsy forums once a day.
3) Take a couple of advanced wire classes bfore the end of this year.
4) Take a silversmithing class next year after the wedding (this one's already in the bag - hi cousin who is taking the class with me!).
5) Blog once a week, whether I have something beady to report or not. Hopefully the epic shame should motivate me.
6) Have at least two new auctions on Etsy a month, until such time as I have more time to put up more auctions.
Between that and the wedding thing, my brain should be juuuust about stuffed, but it will be a balanced brain!
