The long, dark bead time of the soul.

(With apologies to Douglas Adams. Hey, I'm working on the setup of my towel!)

Nothing much has been happening in beadland. I am now officially looking at better digital cameras because methinks my necklaces on Etsy need better photography.

I'll have more beady news for everyone soon - probably as soon as I get that new camera! Then I can show off my purchases from the gem show, especially my beloved bamboo coral and dyed jade, and the pendants made of 100-year old stamps from Peru and Argentina.

There have been some changes going on in my life on a personal level as I learn how to prioritize and how to plan for my future. I've taken some traning that was beady, and some training that was not beady. I've been back at the gym (hint to the lazy-like-me: bring your DVD player and balance it on an elliptical machine, and after a couple of weeks you may find your pants are flapping). I've also got mental images saturating my dreams - images of working in my own studio/office. I'm working on that. :)

I've also gotten my 4th request since August to make cookies for an event. Duncan Hines mix, people. That's all it is. But I'm glad working with powder and an egg brings the love!

In the meantime, please click on the picture and be a patriot:
