It always pays to go with your gut, to borrow from Stephen Colbert. I was recommended another store around the corner from this place, which greeted us with a shut door in the face one minute before closing. Yeah, I know, I didn't call to check the closing time - bad beader! That's bad! However, they grudgingly let us in and I did a mad run-around where I discovered COPPER-colored headbands, a color to which I've not had access, but nothing else I couldn't get from, say, Oriental Trading Company.
These fabulous babies, on the other hand, came to me from Berger Beads. I'd been told to avoid this place, and I'm so glad I didn't listen. The service was incredibly patient and kind, and the selection of kitschy cabs was endless. It was really had for me to stop here. I'm particularly in love with the red-and-black Muses cameo on the right. I may have to keep that one for myself. I may have to get more of those the next time I'm in town.
Now all that remains is to use the Glue of Death (from the tube: "If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air.") and see how they work in their pendant frames.
