The Etsy listings are now up for the Renaissance Glow Necklace and Red and Black Jewel Necklace. Go admire!
While over at my friend's house tonight, she presented me with a bag of old jewelry I'd left at her home one move ago, including one of my earliest designs called the Daisy. I'd forgotten entirely about it and was so delighted to see it again! I came up with the Daisy in 1997, and ten years later it is as funky as it ever was. I'll post pics soon. Along with the Daisy came two hanks of bead chips which appear to be sodalite and rhodonite. (Oh, for rhodocrosite! I truly need to get some when I'm next in Buenos Aires....)
Felt Club's XL Holiday event is this weekend, and to my delight (and skosh of nerves), one of my crafting idols, Susan Beal of West Coast Crafty, is going to be offering a class in beginning jewelry design. If somehow her new book comes available at the show, I plan to buy it there and ask her to sign it whilst praying I don't look like a total n00b in the process. SO many cool vendors and artists are going to be there! I'm also looking forward to meeting the author of Craft, Inc.
So. Old beads and designs, new Etsy listings, future jewelry knowledge to glean from They Who Have Gone Before.
